Add some sizzle

These hot new summer options will help you look your best on the course.

By Catherine RislingPublished: June, 2008

We're barely into summer and the temperatures are starting to rise - good thing there's plenty to wear on the course to keep Southern California golfers cool and comfortable. From visors with bling to stylish skorts and shorts for women, to a new cutting-edge polo for men, summer fashions are surely in bloom. Here's a look at some of our favorites this season.

Walter Genuin
Walter Genuin doesn't disappoint this season, offering footwear that looks like anything but traditional golf shoes. The Daisy ($299) is made of Italian patent leather, which makes a very soft and comfortable shoe. Available in black with white trim and red with white trim. Also pictured is The Jolly ($215), a lightweight sporty shoe with netting that makes the shoe more breathable. Available in black, white, orange, lime and brandy calfskin leather with white netting, and white calfskin leather with red netting. Both shoes are low cut, so you can forget about tan lines. For more information, visit walter-genuin.com.

Green Tee Apparel
Judging by its initial designs, newcomer Green Tee Apparel not only has a catchy name but a dynamic line, as well. The Hep Halter polo ($56) is designed a bit longer to prevent midriff exposure and includes a tee pocket on the chest. It also includes a built-in support bra and fabric that repels liquids, resists wrinkles, dries fast, breathes easy and is antimicrobial. Available in orange, blue with yellow edging, and yellow with white edging. Also featured is the pleated Swish Skort ($60) designed with three front pleats with accent metal rivets and invisible seam line pockets in front and back. The fabric is stretchy and breathable. For more information, visit greenteeapparel.com.

Tattoo Golf
Tattoo Golf has taken its best-selling argyle design and created a new microfiber knit polo ($47.99). The light, breathable Poly-Dri High Performance fabric wicks away perspiration, drawing it to the surface where it quickly evaporates. The shirt features the argyle pattern on the front with the Tattoo Golf logo in small text across the bottom on the back. Available in charcoal, black and white. For more information, visit tattoogolf.com.

Dolly Mama Designs
Perfectly sized to offset the glare of an unrelenting sun, the Signature 3 Row Visor ($75) from Dolly Mama Designs is a hot seller. The clip-on style featuring a terry cloth-lined headband is accented with a band of Swarovski crystals. Available in black, white, powder pink, hot pink, stone, chocolate, navy, red, olive and charcoal. For more information, visit dollymamadesigns.com.

Trigelle
If there's one thing Trigelle knows, it's how to make a woman look good on the course. Check out the Reyenne Sleeveless colorblock polo in lilac ($72), a 50-percent cotton blend featuring UV protection and moisture management qualities. Coordinates include the Carlee V-Neck Sweater, pictured here in Cool Taupe ($96), a bamboo/cotton/Lycra blend that also manages moisture, and the Avril Allover print Bermuda short ($92) in stretch sateen.
