Play golf for charity

With the golf season in full swing, Aliso Viejo Country Club opens it doors for an admirable cause.

By Brian LichtermanPublished: June, 2012

The Filipino-American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County (FACCOC) will hold its second annual golf tournament on June 11, at Aliso Viejo Country Club. The tournament is the group’s sole fundraiser of 2012, and the event is critical to the organization. For the past couple of years, Orange County players have been magnificent in their support of the FACCOC and its tournament, and the group is hoping for another strong turnout this year.

Proceeds benefit FACCOC (faccoc.org) and Bantay Bata (bantaybata163.com), a child-welfare program of ABS-CBN Foundation that not only rescues and rehabilitates sick and abused children but also provides shelter, therapy and quality home care for rescued children until they can be reunited with family or referred to an appropriate child-care agency.

The event will include a shotgun start followed by a sit-down/buffet dinner. There will be music, raffle prizes and great opportunities to network.

Non-golfers are encouraged to join the evening festivities; dinner is $50.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at faccoc.org.
