![]() Coyote Hills has some of the most amazing views in north Orange County (Photo: D2 Productions) Before you even tee off at Fullerton’s Coyote Hills Golf Course, there’s evidence this isn’t your average golf facility. Just outside the clubhouse stands a bronze statue of three-time major winner Payne Stewart, who served as a co-designer of the layout along with course architect Cal Olson. Stewart, who tragically died in a plane crash nearly 10 years ago, liked to have fun on the course. And at Coyote Hills, golfers of all skills are certainly able to do that. Managed by American Golf, the layout takes players on an adventurous tour through the diverse terrain of northeastern Orange County. While the front nine winds up and down through foothills, the back nine is a bit flatter and resembles more of a traditional design. Featuring a dramatically elevated tee that’s the highest point in Fullerton, the par-4, 403-yard seventh hole is one of the region’s best. On a clear day, it’s possible to see all the way to the famous “Hollywood” sign in Los Angeles. Like many other holes at Coyote Hills, accuracy is at a premium off the tee, so do whatever it takes to find the fairway for a chance at a good score. Besides boasting a memorable course, Coyote Hills prides itself on doing all of the little things to ensure an overall memorable experience. Whether you’re a daily-fee golfer, tournament participant or wedding guest, service is paramount. “When you’re here, we want you to remember the experience for all of the right reasons,” said General Manager Brent Boznanski.
