The club also is in the final stages of a clubhouse remodel, which includes an additional 3,000 square feet of space and an updated pro shop and restaurant with separate bar and grill. The new 200-seat banquet area will be completed by April 1. Laura Dennis, who previously worked for The Clubhouse restaurant at South Coast Plaza, is the facility’s new banquet sales manager. There is now a nine-hole rate, where golfers can play the front nine beginning at 3 p.m. (4 p.m. once daylight saving time begins March 14) for $90 on weekdays and $100 on weekends. A unique five-hole rate allows access to the first five holes — including the oceanfront third and fourth — beginning at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. after DST) for $50 on weekdays and $60 on weekends. Wilkins played on the LPGA Tour for 13 years and continues to compete in local events. She’s won the LPGA Team Classic Senior Division three times and was selected by the LPGA membership as a Top 50 LPGA Teacher for 2008-2009.
