Escondido Country Club Escondido (760) 743-3301 • escondidocc.com Escondido Country Club went public a few months ago and is offering the same benefits to all guests — including the ability to host tournaments and sign up for golf clinics and lessons — and membership deals starting at zero initiation fee. Current and new members will continue to receive advance tee times and access to locker rooms, among other amenities. Currently, you can play for $49 on weekdays and $59 on weekends. Cottonwood Golf Club El Cajon (619) 442-9891 • cottonwoodgolf.com Cottonwood’s Barbecue Scramble will take place on select Mondays through the end of summer. The nine-hole round begins at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 on May 3 and 17, June 7 and 21, July 26 and August 9 and 23. Cost is $35 per person and includes prizes. Also, adult golf clinics are offered 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for $20 per person. Junior clinics are free for children 15 years and younger at 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
