Plans are underway for Pala Mesa’s first golf academy in more than 20 years. Golfers of all levels can improve their games at one-, three- and five-day schools. Classes are led by PGA head professional Travis Inchcliff and his staff. There also are golf clinics — men’s and women’s eight-week programs are offered year-round and cost $15 per session. Junior clinics are 10 weeks and begin this month. In addition to teaching fundamentals, these include skills challenges and on-course dates. Cost is $12 per session. Pala Mesa recently restructured its golf memberships for individuals and families with no initiation fees and dues starting around $250. For details on any of the programs, contact the pro shop.
