Though its four-year partnership with the Skins Game concluded last year, Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta is honoring its association with the dean of off-season events this month. Four of the five Fridays in November will correspond with one of the four years Trilogy (below) hosted the Skins Game. "The players may have left, but the legend lives on," said Bob Veroulis, Trilogy's director of sales and marketing. On November 2, the course will salute Fred Couples' triumph at the 2003 Skins Game by installing the same pin placements he confronted. Additionally, signs will be placed on key greens, tee boxes or other spots on the hole where a significant shot was either made or missed. The 2004 Skins Game, which Couples also won, will be similarly honored a week later, followed by the 2005 event - captured by Fred Funk - on November 16. On the Friday of Thanksgiving weekend, November 23, Trilogy will honor Stephen Ames, who was victorious in the 2006 event after sinking a 3-foot birdie putt to accumulate $270,000 of his $590,000 grand total. Along with the opportunity to walk in the steps of some of the world's top golfers, Trilogy will offer a range of promotions on each of those Fridays.
