Dr. Dale Fisher's theory is that you should be able to use the same stroke on a fast green as you do on a slow green by changing the putter insert. Owner of a dozen putter patents, Fisher's Calibrated Polymer Insert Technology is licensed and used by Callaway, Odyssey and many other brands. The Talon TS-1 and TS-3 give golfers four different insert speeds in one putter head. The TS-1 ($300) does it with a removable cube that offers color-coded inserts for different green speeds.
