Specs: 3-hybrid: 19-degree loft, 59-degree lie, 40-inch length; 4-hybrid: 22-degree loft, 59.75-degree lie, 39.25-inch length. Stock shaft is 85-gram UST Mamiya ProForce AXIV Core Black, with four flex options.

Features: Adams’ two a7 hybrids feature an improved sole chamber, and heavier weights in the rear can increase distance.

Who is it made for: Mid-handicappers.

What they’re saying about it: On its website, the company says that its a7 hybrids are “a truly better alternative to anything on the market.”

Why you should try it: Adams has led the PGA Tour in hybrid presence the past two years, and if the best players in the world are using them, why shouldn’t you?
