Here’s a look at some new wedges on the market from Southland manufacturers.

By Southland Golf MagazinePublished: July, 2006

FOURTEEN GOLF
The MT-28 V2 Wedge is designed to provide better spin, trajectory and distance control from a variety of lies. The club’s design results in playability and stopping power from anywhere on the course. Find out why Fourteen Golf wedges have been No. 1 on the JPGA Tour since 2002.

For more information, call (949) 852-8811 or visit www.fourteen.co.jp/.

FACE FORWARD
The F2 Wedge is designed with the hosel behind the clubface, meaning the clubface makes contact with the ball before the hosel enters the hitting area. The design also allows the club to move through deep rough with less resistance and allows players to open the clubface for high, soft shots from the sand.

For more information, call (800) 584-1514 or visit www.f2golf.com.

BANG GOLF
The Bang-O-Matic wedge is designed to help average golfers spin and stop the ball on the green. Since the wedges are forged, they can be bent to match a player’s swing. The wedges are available in 50, 55, 60 and 65 degrees of loft. All come with a lifetime warranty.

ALPHA GOLF
Alpha Pro Tour wedges are designed for versatility, and the unobtrusive sole design makes them ideal for use in the fairway, rough or sand. Available in investment cast and forged models, the Pro Tour wedges also feature precision-milled U-grooves for optimum spin and control. Prices start at $74 (cast) and $78.50 (forged).
