A Balancing act

Staying balanced during the swing is important to hitting a good golf shot. IZZO Balance Disks promote better balance and coordination by improving proprioception, which is the body's natural interplay between balance and imbalance. An example of proprioception is slipping on ice. As soon as a person slips, they use their arms to make sure they stay upright. Balance disks also tone and strengthen your core muscles and improve your posture. IZZO Balance Disks are available at Golfsmith locations and sell for $40 a pair.

Roll out some fun off the course

If you like dice games, you'll love Mulligan Dice Golf. Four dice represent golf clubs with the sides of each die representing a golf shot. The other two dice represent weather conditions and number of putts. There also are mulligans and a way to stymie your opponent, which brings strategy into play. Whether it's a wet day and you're stuck inside or simply hanging around the 19th hole with your golf buddies, Mulligan Dice Golf will add some fun to the mix. The game sells for $25 and can be purchased at playmulligan.com.

A new way to putter around indoors

My Mini Golf adds difficulty and style to indoor putting practice. The seven-hole layout features holes with loops, bridges and mazes often found at miniature golf courses. The candy-colored obstacles are made of sturdy plastic, so players of all ages can enjoy the fun. It also looks nice, which explains why My Mini Golf has been featured in some interior design magazines. My Mini Golf sells for $330 and is available at unicahome.com.
