I don’t know if you’re aware of the growing trend of singles using professional matchmakers to find their mate, but I would like to tell you about this growing reality. It seems like most guys aren’t really sure what a matchmaker does. A matchmaker helps you find a mate in the same way a headhunter will help find you a job or a realtor to help you find a house. With 1.6 million singles in Orange County alone it makes sense.

One thing we can all agree on as golfers is that our time is precious and good time management is essential to allow us time on the course. A few months ago I was relaxing in the club with my regular group of guys and the “new” guy, Jeff.  It was a Wednesday and Jeff was still on cloud nine from his Saturday night dinner date. I was surprised when Jeff revealed to us that he is a member of Palm and Associates … a matchmaking agency.

Jeff’s an Ivy league-educated, good looking, successful, scratch golfer that is too busy with his career to go out and hunt down dates.
