Justin Rose's road to professional golf began when his dad put a toy club in his hands at 11 months old. The London resident had a plus-3 handicap at age 14. Glenn: What do you typically work on in your swing? Justin: I always work hard on the fundamentals. I haven't changed anything from last year. I'm happy with my swing, and it is looking decent on film. Glenn: How did you learn to swing so well? Justin: My dad taught me. I have been playing since I was a little kid. I love the game. From the beginning until now, my swing is a work in progress. Glenn: Is your visualization and focus the glue that holds your swing together? Justin: Yes. If you have a position image, you will occasionally get away with a flaw. The mind is a valuable weapon. Thinking properly, seeing the shot and feeling the swing are things that separate the pro from the good player. Glenn: What was the hardest fundamental for you to master? Justin: Alignment. You would think it's simple, but it takes a lot of doing and redoing to get it right. Glenn Monday is a Los Angeles-based teaching pro and author of "Know Your Swing."
