Nick Faldo has won three Masters and British Open titles apiece. He is now the lead golf analyst on the Golf Channel and CBS Sports. Glenn: I've noticed a common thread among world-class players — just prior to impact, they all control their angles. Nick: That's right, that's the bottom line. The more fundamental you are, it's going to make it a lot easier to get into that slot and find your groove. Glenn: Some days golf is easy, others it's not. Why is that? Nick: I think it's the human factor, because we have emotions. You could be swinging exactly the same on two given days, but you could feel different. That's one of the differences between good and bad scores. Glenn: Why doesn't the average golfer play better? Nick: Our game is unnatural. When a swing feels comfortable, in many cases, it's wrong. People are slow to change because it feels awful. The hardest thing in golf is to change your swing. Here's a tip: Learn the proper fundamentals and then be prepared to go through the bad to get to the good. Glenn Monday is a Los Angeles-based teaching pro and author of "Know Your Swing."
