![]() Brandt Snedeker talks golf. Last year's competition ended in dramatic fashion, as Snedeker took home the trophy after Kyle Stanley, who entered the final day with a five-stroke lead, folded on the 18th hole. He lost a ball in the water and triple-putted to a triple-bogey. Snedeker won in the resulting playoff. Snedeker noted during a Q&A session that Torrey Pines is one of his favorite courses, adding that "I absolutely love these greens." He said that the usual suspects – Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson – are the three pros he'd least like to face on a Sunday. However, he added, tongue in cheek, that he'd most like to square off against a rookie. When asked about anchoring, a topic that has been getting a great deal of press of late, Snedeker noted that he's against it, since it helps take the golfers' nerves out of play. The defending champion said that he considers his Ryder Cup experience to be both a highlight and a lowlight of his career, and that it was even tough to talk about. Although Snedeker believes that 2012 was his best year, "I'm absolutely certain that 2013 will be even better." ![]() |
