Ninety-six of the country’s top juniors have been honored as 2009 Rolex American Junior Golf Association All-Americans, and about one-fifth of them (19) hail from Southern California. An equal number of girls and boys (48) were recognized on either the first or second team or awarded honorable mention. The All-American squads were based on juniors’ standings in the Polo Golf Rankings. Jenny Shin of Torrance earned first-team honors for the third year, while Valencia’s Alison Lee is on the first team for the second time. First-team boys from Southern California are Patrick Cantlay (Los Alamitos), James Back (Cerritos) and Jeffrey Kang (Fullerton). Below are the AJGA All-America representatives from Southern California. For the complete listing of All-Americans, visit the AJGA site.
