Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort in the City of Industry is gearing up to host the second annual city championship at the end of this month. Participants will get the opportunity to play both the Eisenhower and Zaharias courses during the tournament. The first and second rounds on July 31 and August 1 will be on both courses, with the Ike hosting final round play on August 2.
The entry fee of $195 per player covers all golf, cart fees, range privileges, tee prize and prize fund. The event is open to amateurs with a minimum one-year established handicap. The deadline for sign-ups is Friday, July 17, but late entries will be accepted if the tournament is not yet full and are subject to an additional $10 fee.
Format is 54-hole stroke play, with a cut to the low one-third of players in each flight after 36 holes. Lowest index will be used for each flight. There are seven flights in all, ranging from 2.9 index and below for the Championship flight, to 14.0 and above in the Goydos flight.
