![]() Ryan Kelley was the only player to finish under par at the 2010 Industry Hills City Championship (COURTESY: Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort). Playing two rounds on the Eisenhower course and one on the Zaharias layout, Kelley shot rounds of 72-70-72 for a 1-under-par total to win by three shots over Raymond Ho of Cerritos (2-over). “This means a lot,” Kelley, a graduate of Riverside’s California Baptist University, told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. “I had been playing well the past couple months and have gotten into a little groove. Everything just came together to win it.” Ho entered Sunday’s final round of the 54-hole event with the lead following a 4-under-par 67 Saturday on the Zaharious course — a competitive record. However, he closed with a 3-over 75 on Eisenhower that included a pair of double bogeys. Kevin L. Keller, who had the opening-round lead thanks to a 70 at Eisenhower, closed with rounds of 74-74 to finish alone in third at 3-over par. Hacienda Heights resident Jason Choo was fourth at 4-over. Woodland Hills resident Aaron West, who won the Ventura City Championship earlier this summer, shared fourth place with Choo. Accomplished amateur Tim Hogarth of Northridge ended in sixth place at 5-over par. Defending champion Bobby Arranaga registered rounds of 76-75-79 to finish in 18th place. The championship flight was for players with indexes of 2.9 or lower. Here are winners and top finishers from other flights, with handicap ranges included: Woods flight (3.0 – 4.9) Lindsay Jeffries and Martin P. Junor finished regulation tied at 27-over 242, and Jeffries defeated Junor with a birdie on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff. Mickelson flight (5.0 – 6.9) Randy Renny was the only player in this division to post two sub-80 rounds, posting a 24-over total that clinched the victory by two shots over Garth W. Price. Stephen Glass and Sean E. Trundy tied for third at 28-over. O’Meara flight (7.0 – 8.9) Eric Yn opened with a 72 and never looked back, outlasting the field with a 17-over par total. Yu-Nin Shang was second at 19-over, while Michael Katyal finished third at 25-over par. Kim flight (9.0 – 10.9) Consistency was key for Jes P. Zablan, who posted rounds of 80-82-82 for a victorious total of 29-over par. Randall M. Dang was second at 31-over, while Yuka Okada finished third at 34-over par. Mahan flight (11.0 – 13.9) Sau K.
