The Nationwide Tour Soboba Golf Classic is looking for 500–600 volunteers to work this year’s tournament, which will be held September 27-October 3 at The Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto. Volunteer positions include score bearers, marshals, Golf Channel assistants, spotters, and more. Each volunteer will be paid $40 and receive access to the entire tournament, a Soboba Golf Classic T-shirt, hat and access to tournament parties. If a volunteer works more than two shifts, they receive a certificate for a free round of golf once the event concludes. “This is great way for people to see the action inside the ropes and get an entirely different perspective on how much fun it is to help run an event of this magnitude,” said David Biber, sales and marketing director for the Soboba Golf Classic. “Last year we had 400 volunteers, and this year’s tournament is shaping up to be bigger than ever.” Anyone interested in volunteering can call (951) 654-4300, ext. 5200, and ask for Amanda, or visit sobobaclassic.net and download the form.
