On May 24, 112 golfers participated in the American Cancer Society’s
2010 Southern California Invitational at Riviera Country Club in
Pacific Palisades. More than $235,000 was raised for the Society’s
local life-saving efforts in cancer research, public education,
advocacy, and patient services.
Golf enthusiasts of all skill
levels enjoyed more than just a great day of golf. The full experience
included a welcome hospitality and gift salon, barbecue lunch, raffle
and live auction, putting and driving competitions, networking
opportunities, and a 19th hole awards reception and dinner. The winner
of the coveted Jack Nicklaus Cup was the Wells Fargo foursome.
The
event was presented by Nigro Karlin Segal & Feldstein, LLP in
association with Grubb & Ellis Real Estate Services and ValueClick
Inc. Anthem Blue Cross was honored with the 2010 Special Recognition
Award for their ongoing partnership and commitment to the fight against
cancer.
