By Denise DeChainePublished: June, 2010

Austin Graham (San Clemente) won the Memorial Amateur Championship at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course in Carmichael, Calif., on May 29-31.

Graham, who began the day one stroke behind Ramsey Sahyoun (Reseda) and Will Kropp (Edmund, Okla.), took the top spot with a 25-foot birdie putt on the final hole, giving him a 4-under-par 68 for the day and a 7-under-par 209 total.

Following Graham in second place were Sahyoun and George Gandranata (Emeryville) with a 210. Kropp tied for fourth at 211.

John Rochelle founded the Memorial Amateur Championship in 1981 to honor Memorial Day as a national holiday and to honor the sacrifices made by the men and women of the armed forces and those in public service who should never be understated or forgotten.
