Bittick wins Costa Mesa City Championship by four strokes

Ladera Ranch's Jason Bittick won last weekend's Costa Mesa City Championship after carding an 8-under-par 134 for the 36-hole event. Costa Mesa Country Club played host to the championship, with the Mesa Linda course being used on Saturday and the final round being contested on the Los Lagos course on Sunday.

Recent Estancia High School graduate Ryan Knapp grabbed the runner-up spot after shooting a 138. Jeff Coburn, Ed Susolik and Evan Derian finished tied for third at 141, while Marcus Sostak-Rosa and Benny Santa Maria tied for fourth at 142.

Earlier this year, Bittick was runner-up to Tim Hogarth at the 26th annual SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship at Hacienda Golf Club in La Habra Heights.
