 The Grand Golf Club at The Grand Del Mar in San Diego County has expanded its teaching staff, naming Derek Uyeda (top) as lead instructor and Phil Rodgers as staff instructor. Uyeda most recently taught at Stadium Golf Center in San Diego and was named 2009 Southern California PGA Teacher of the Year. Rodgers, a native San Diegan, played professionally for 28 years and has been among Golf Digest’s Top 50 instructors every year since the list’s inception. He also wasa member of Southland Golf’s 2009 Hall of Fame class. |
