Forrest Blake has opened 15 Southern California GolfTEC franchises in the past 12 months. “We are changing the way the game is taught,” Blake said. “More importantly, we’re changing the way it’s played.” Backed by a client base of more than 15,000 golfers, Blake recently launched the GolfTEC Premium Players Club, which offers golfers access to private clubs and discounts at high-end public courses. The annual fee of $69 offers members a package valued at more than $900. Members become part of an active golfing community and can participate in The GolfTEC Amateur Tour, a series of 48 tournaments that allow golfers to test their skills against players of similar handicaps.
