![]() The 17th hole on the Ike Course Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort, located in City of Industry, has been named 2010 Golf Course of the Year by the National Golf Course Owners Association. Official recognition is scheduled for February 11, 2010 during the Association’s Annual Conference in San Diego. The award resulted from a golf course owner member vote honoring four distinct criteria: course quality; quality of ownership, management and service; contributions to the community; and, contributions to the game of golf. In 2007, Industry Hills completed a comprehensive $22 million renovation of its two courses, the Dwight D. Eisenhower (The Ike) and the Babe Zaharias (The Babe), including a 100 percent replacement of all of the fairways, bunkers and irrigation on both layouts. “The renovation has guaranteed that golf enthusiasts will enjoy the courses at Industry Hills Golf Club for years to come,” says Dave Youpa, PGA Director of Golf at Industry Hills. In addition to having 1,400 members and hosting more than 90,000 rounds annually, the facility is home to many of Los Angeles’ sports and entertainment events and television shoots.
