After a successful launch in 2008, JC Golf’s Bogeyfest contest returns for this month’s U.S. Open offering the chance for one winner to earn free golf for a year. Every amateur golfer in San Diego knows what it is like to make a bogey now and then, but this month it will be the professional golfers having a tough time on the course at this year’s national golf championship on the Bethpage Black Course in New York. The difficult course promises to lead to high scores for even the best golfers in the world. And those high scores could earn one lucky person free golf for a year. JC Golf’s Bogeyfest contest will award free golf for a year to one person who successfully predicts the total number of all the golfers’ bogeys (all holes scored over par) during the four days of play at the U.S. Open. In the 2008 contest, one entry missed the correct total by just one bogey! This year promises to present a similar challenge. Entries now can be made online at jcgolf.com. JC Golf owns and/or operates seven Southern California courses, including: Arrowood, Encinitas Ranch, Oaks North, Rancho Bernardo Inn, Reidy Creek, Temecula Creek Inn and Twin Oaks. The contest is simple — pick the total number of actual bogeys and you’ll be picking one of these courses for a round of golf each week for a year. The tie-breaker will be to predict the tournament winner. To enter, go to jcgolf.com. All entries are due by Wednesday, June 17. |
