It's difficult to envision a better family outing opportunity than an afternoon of golf — you're outside, getting exercise and spending time together. Play Golf America has declared July its official Family Golf Month. The program has developed a series of opportunities for families to learn and play golf together. Participating golf courses are offering promotions such as Family Golf Clinics, Family Golf Play Days and Kids Play Free. In addition to promotions, Play Golf America has also partnered with The Golf Course Builders Association of America and the National Park and Recreation Association to create Sticks for Kids, which provides education and golf clubs for those without the means to learn about the game.
