Automobile manufacturer Kia Motors, whose American division is based in Irvine, has signed on as the title sponsor for the LPGA Tour’s inaugural tournament at La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad. The 72-hole tournament will be known as the Kia Classic Presented by J Golf and be held March 25-28. Kia also announced a partnership with 20-year-old LPGA superstar Michelle Wie, who will serve as a company spokesperson and its official golf ambassador.
