The Kraft Nabisco Championship announced that its inaugural Integrated Wealth Management Tickets Fore Charity program raised nearly $150,000 for more than 90 Coachella Valley charities. According to Gabe Codding, business manager for the Kraft Nabisco Championship, the top-selling charities for the 2010 event were the Korean American Coalition, Coachella Valley Autism Society, The Unforgettables Foundation, Parkinson’s Resource Organization, American Cancer Society (Calif. Division), King’s Schools of the Desert, Jewish Family Service of the Desert, LPGA Foundation, Animal Samaritans SPCA and the Alzheimer’s Association. Tickets Fore Charity is Kraft Nabisco’s multi-year program in which nonprofit organizations have the opportunity to sell advance tickets to the tournament and retain 100 percent of the money from sales. Codding said that planning for the 2011 charitable giving program has already begun and ticket sales for the 40th anniversary of the Kraft Nabisco Championship will begin by this fall. “Our goal is to launch the ticket program as soon as possible so that charities will have a longer lead time to generate more sales and, ultimately, more dollars for their programs and services,” he said. “We are thrilled at the results from our first year, and look forward to building on the great foundation that was established.” The 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship will celebrate its 40th anniversary March 28 – April 3, 2011, at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.
