Marriott Golf has introduced the “Fairway Furloughs” Military Golf Program, designed to honor the nation’s armed forces. In celebrating America’s military men and women, and as May is National Military Appreciation Month, the new program provides active, reserve and retired military personnel with tremendous values at 26 acclaimed Marriott Golf courses throughout the United States, including Desert Springs Golf Resort and Shadow Ridge Golf Club in Palm Desert. Members of the armed forces can now take advantage of discounted green fees/carts, ranging between $29 and $69. This program is available after 3 p.m. any day of the week, year round, at Desert Springs and Shadow Ridge. Tee times can be made up to three days in advance, and a valid military ID card must be presented. For more information or to book a tee time, call Desert Springs at (760) 341-1756 or Shadow Ridge at (760) 674-2700. In total, 26 golf courses at 18 Marriott Golf properties are participating in the program. “At a time when the country’s military men and women need our support as much as ever, Marriott Golf created the Fairway Furloughs program as a thank you to members of the armed forces who love the game of golf,” said Bill Nault, vice president of Marriott Golf. Members of the armed forces participating in Fairway Furloughs can also take advantage of Marriott Golf Links, the company’s golfer loyalty program that enables Marriott Rewards members to both earn and redeem points for golf. Members can earn Marriott Rewards points for rounds of golf and golf retail merchandise purchases. In addition, members can redeem points for rounds of golf, hotel accommodations, spa experiences, golf instruction, and more. For more information on Fairway Furloughs, visit marriottgolf.com. |
