SCGA: Glass, Banducci, Duvernay and Tooze win at Amateur Net Championship

The SCGA’s Amateur Net Championship took place at Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palm Resort.

Stephen Glass, Mike Banducci, Marc Duvernay and Fred Tooze were the winners at the SCGA’s Amateur Net Championship at Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry last week.

In the Bobby Jones flight (5.9 handicap and below), Glass (Industry Hills Golf Club) took the top spot, posting a 3-under-par 140 after rounds of 69-71.

Brian Killeen (Industry Hills Golf Club) followed in second with a 2-under-par 141 and Carlos Hernandez (Filam Golf Tour) finished in third posting a 3-over-par 146.

In the Jack Nicklaus flight (6.0-8.9 handicaps), Banducci (Links at Riverlake Ranch), who secured his spot at Industry Hills by qualifying at Sunset Hills Country Club in Thousand Oaks, won with a 1-over-par 144.

Following Banducci in second were Mark Allen (Industry Hills Golf Club) and Gary Dorris (San Juan Hills Golf Club) at 3-over-par 146.

Brian Tiffany (Sterling Hills Golf Club) and David Greatbanks (Moreno Valley Ranch Golf Club) tied for fourth at 4-over-par 147.

In the Arnold Palmer flight (9.0-12.9 handicaps) Duvernay clinched the top spot with a 4-under-par 139 after rounds of 66-73.

Joel Feder (Golfersclub.com) followed in second with a 1-under-par 142 and in third was Michael Cude (Southern Pacific Golf Club) at even-par. 143.

In the Ben Hogan flight (13.0 handicap and above) Fred Tooze (Balboa Park Men’s Golf Club) took the top spot posting a 10-under-par 133 after rounds of 67-66.

Richard Trejo (Industry Hills Golf Club), who won the 2008 SCGA Amateur Net Championship in the Secretary flight, followed in second with a 9-under-par 134. Bob Tyler (Silverlinks Golf Club) finished in third posting a 4-under-par 143.
