Estanislao Guerrero (Tijuana, Mexico) won the Southwestern Amateur at Sycuan Resort’s Willow Glen Course in El Cajon on June 15-18. Guerrero’s final round score of 5-under-par 65 gave him a 7-under-par 273 total to clinch the win by two strokes over Joseph Harrison and Bryan Martin (Thousand Oaks), who tied in second at 275. Guerrero had no bogeys and birdies on holes 15 and 16 with a near eagle on 17 in the final round. Tied for fourth were Colin Featherstone (Fallbrook), Michael Weaver (Fresno) and Tyler Weworski (Carlsbad), who posted a 4-under-par 276. For full tournament results, visit swga.net. |
