Cypress native Tiger Woods is coming back — for a news conference. Woods, the world’s No. 1 golfer who has been on an indefinite hiatus from golf, will be speaking in a live news conference from the clubhouse at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. — home of PGA Tour headquarters — on Friday, February 19 at 8:00 a.m. PST. A limited number of media will be present, reports the Associated Press. "This is all about the next step," said Mark Steinberg, Woods' agent, to the Associated Press. "He's looking forward to it." In the wake of a car accident in the early morning on Friday, November 27 and subsequent allegations of multiple extramarital affairs, Woods has released two statements via his official website, tigerwoods.com. One acknowledged “transgressions” and the other announced he would be taking an indefinite hiatus from competitive golf. Since then, rumors surfaced he was in treatment for sex addiction at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, Miss.
