Mountain Gate to host Playboy Golf Scramble August 23-24

The Playboy Golf Scramble offers golfers a chance to mingle with Playmates and the Girls of Playboy Golf.
Sun, fun, beautiful women and golf will come together in Southern California for a weekend full of excitement on August 23-24 in the annual Playboy Golf Scramble. This year’s event takes place in Los Angeles, where amateur golfers will compete with one another at spectacular Mountain Gate Country Club and enjoy the company of Playboy’s gorgeous Playmates and the Girls of Playboy Golf. Tournament participants can stay at the Hotel Shangri La in Santa Monica, a dramatic art deco hotel perched on a bluff steps from the Pacific Ocean.

“We’re very excited to bring the exclusive experience of the Playboy Golf Scramble back to Los Angeles,” said Ajay Pathak, president of Playboy Golf. “Last year’s event was a great success and this year is sure to be even better.”

The Playboy Golf Scramble is designed for golfers of all abilities. Participants are arranged in four-person teams that compete against each other in a scramble format in both gross and net divisions. There is a special handicapping system that levels the playing field, making it both competitive and fun for everyone involved.

A VIP party will take place at the Hotel Shangri La the night before the golf tournament (August 23) and all events are hosted by Playboy Playmates and the Girls of Playboy Golf.

Various Playboy Playmates are scheduled to appear, and golfers are afforded a unique chance to get to mingle with them.

“It always turns into quite a party on the golf course and I’m looking forward to seeing old friends as well as meeting many new golfers,” said Playboy Playmate Pilar Lastra, Miss August 2004.
