![]() “We have been so incredibly fortunate to have had Will Ferrell’s support through the years,” said Cancer for College founder Craig Pollard, a two-time cancer survivor and former fraternity brother of Ferrell’s at USC. “Creating this line of sunscreen products allows us the ability to use Will’s image to promote the mission of our charity, raise some valuable funds to help send cancer survivors to college and increase cancer awareness.” Cancer for College has been providing scholarships to current and former cancer survivors since 1993. The new line of sunscreen products features Ferrell in a series of humorous poses. The proceeds of all sales go toward the foundation’s scholarship fund. There are three different SPF 30 sunscreens offered, including the “Sexy Hot Tan,” which features a Speedo-clad Ferrell; “Forbidden Fruit,” which depicts Ferrell as the biblical Adam touting the healing power of the lotion; and a golfer’s brand billed as “Sun Stroke” that has a muscle-bound Ferrell claiming to have gained 57 yards off the tee and a rich dark tan. “The bottle says it all. I’ve always dreamed of owning a lotion company,” Ferrell said. “Honestly, I’m proud to be associated with such a great charity. I’ve watched Craig and Cancer for College help hundreds of cancer survivors realize their dream of a college education. The stories are so inspirational. I’m just happy to help any way I can.” The sunscreen is available online through the charity’s website at cancerforcollege.org and through retail outlets this summer. |
