Golf legend Arnold Palmer received the Congressional Gold Medal at a ceremony held in the Capitol Building Sept. 12. Before a packed audience of leading House and Senate Democrats and Republicans, Palmer said he was “very humbled” to receive the medal, only the sixth time it has gone to a sports figure. Palmer, who just turned 83, drew laughter when he said: "I'm particularly proud of anything the House and the Senate agree on.” Read more HERE: |
