![]() What are your keys for serving as general manager and director of golf? It’s all about consistency, whether it’s for the presentation of the facility, the agronomy of the golf course or the level of service. We want to begin at a high level and leave it there. From a dollars-and-cents standpoint, we’re a small cog out of Mr. Trump’s empire, but he’s so passionate about golf and takes everything that we do out here very seriously. He strives to be the best, and that’s something we also strive for. Why do you enjoy working at Trump National? I’m so passionate about the game, and to work for the most dynamic individual I’ve ever encountered is really the icing on the cake. Mr. Trump’s vision and attention to detail are really second to none. In my career, this represents both the ultimate challenge and ultimate opportunity. What’s your favorite hole at the course? Without sounding diplomatic, they’re all my favorite. I think that’s very telling about the course because there really are that many good holes. I’m partial to No. 10 — it’s the first time during your experience you can hear the surf hitting the cliffs below, and you just want to take a piece home with you. Are there any upcoming specials? Our VIP program we offered earlier this year has sold out, which we’re very excited about. Since we’ll be undergoing overseeding and green aerification in November, we’re offering the weekday twilight green free of $145 as the regular rate throughout the month. Plus, those who pay that fee in November receive a certificate to play another round at the same rate within six months. In a lot of respects, it’s better than a 2-for-1 deal off the normal rate.
