What he means to the game: David plays several charity events a year, but his biggest impact is through spotlighting the game on his TV shows. Whether it’s stealing a 5-wood from a dead man’s casket, telling a surgeon with shaking hands that he suffers from “the yips,” or meeting Ben Hogan in a weird vision of heaven, his golfing exploits on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” aren’t high on etiquette, but they do oddly promote the game.
