 Tell us about the state of your game. Musicians tend to stray from the game because they end up staying out late and having a good time. Getting up early in the morning and playing golf is not the first thing on their agenda. But I try to stay in the game as much as possible and play as much as possible. This event, being the second year in a row for me, it's been fun. Just to be out here with entertainers, and throw a famous PGA Tour golfer in the mix, it's an entertaining thing. What's your best round ever? I shot a 79 at the Auburn Links in Auburn, Alabama. Hopefully, today will be the best round I've ever had. What's your most treasured golf possession? I've got my granddad's persimmon 3-wood that he used to have. It's at home. What's your most cherished golf memory? Charley Boswell was a famous blind golfer and he's actually from my home course, Grayson Valley Country Club in Birmingham. The first time I met Charley, there was a ball that came over by the tee and I was like, 'Man, who's hitting over by me?' There's this guy wandering around for his ball, and I said, 'Your ball's over here.' He said, 'I can't tell. I'm blind.' And I started laughing - I thought it was a joke. The next thing you know, somebody comes over the hill, leads him to his ball, and [Charley] hits it about 5 feet from the pin. I was about 14 or 15 years old. Including yourself, who would make up your ultimate foursome? Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer, and Phil Mickelson. I like watching Phil's short game. I could pick up a few tips from him.
