![]() Sundberg created SWINGBUILDERZ as part of her teaching process. The program identifies what corrections need to be made physically so golfers can achieve the correct positions necessary to hit the ball better. To see more, visit swingbuilderz.com. What is the most common problem you see in your students and how do you fix it? Most golfers have a misconception about what they're seeing when they look at a good golf swing. They get a vision in their mind of how to create a good swing, and then manifest it physically. It's my job to create the correct vision so they understand the swing the way it is as opposed to how they think it should look. The other common problem is golfers often aren't in good enough physical shape to get themselves in the correct swing positions. What is the most challenging thing about being a golf instructor? Watching high school teachers who are golf coaches teach their players. What is the most satisfying part of being a golf instructor? Being in a position to help people enjoy themselves, and that makes their lives better. I like being a part of that. What's in your bag? Mizuno irons, a Cleveland driver and fairway woods, and Nickent hybrids. What was the first thing that attracted you to the game? The shoes. They were colorful and I loved the sound of the cleats on the pavement. What is your favorite part of the game? Being able to beat my brother-in-law from the same tees, even though he's a single-digit handicap. He hits it farther than I do, but the mental pressure gets to him. What is your personal motto on the course? Hit it and chase it! Who gives you lessons? The universe, all the time. SG |
