Jennifer SongFinishing runner-up in a major collegiate tournament is no small feat, but it’s not what the USC sophomore was used to before she teed it up in last month’s Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. Song, who won both of the fall events she entered, tied for second at Palos Verdes Golf Club but still propelled the Women of Troy to their first victory in the 15-year history of the event. The reigning U.S. Women’s Amateur and Women’s Public Links champion will turn professional at the end of this season. Sihwan Kim One of the most decorated young amateurs in Southern California history, Kim continued his stellar junior season on the Stanford men’s golf team by tying for fourth at last month’s Mauna Lani Invitational in Hawaii with a 3-under-par mark (72-70-71). The Buena Park resident’s performance propelled the Cardinal to a victory at the event, which featured one of the deepest fields of the season. During the fall, Kim had three top-10 finishes in four events, including a pair of runner-up efforts.
