![]() For $109, golfers can play both the Classic Club (pictured above) and SilverRock golf courses in July and August. Green fees during peak season at both courses range between $160-$195, so if you don't mind the summer heat, it's an exceptional deal. "It's a wonderful value, but the service at our property is the same regardless of the time of year, so you won't be experiencing a diminished product in any way," said Greg Rubino, general manager of the Classic Club. "This is just a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys playing golf to experience two PGA Tour-caliber championship golf courses for a very reasonable rate." To take advantage of the deal, players merely pay one flat fee at either SilverRock or the Classic Club, and they receive a voucher good through the end of August to play the other course. The Classic Club opened in Palm Desert in January 2006. The Arnold Palmer-designed, 7,305-yard track is owned by the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and has hosted that venerable event the past two years and will for the foreseeable future. SilverRock Resort, a 7,553-yard Arnold Palmer design, opened in 2005. It is owned by the city of La Quinta and joins the Hope rotation in 2008. For more information, call the Classic Club at (760) 601-3600 or SilverRock Resort at (760) 777-8884. |
