Siena Golf Club’s beautiful bunkering and amazing mountain views make it a Las Vegas gem.

You don’t have to try hard to find beauty in Siena, Italy, where the city’s stately cathedral dominates the skyline and the world-famous town square, the Piazza del Campo, is one of Europe’s most renowned gathering spots.

Siena Golf Club in Las Vegas may not have the centuries-old history of the Italian city, but it does boast another form of beauty — an exquisite layout crafted by the team of Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley — and a facility that’s been recognized as one of the finest in the Western United States.

In each of the past two years, Siena has been named Course of the Year by the Nevada Golf Course Owners Association, a testament to its fun test of golf and spectacular service and amenities.

“The course is beautiful, but what we pride ourselves on is an unforgettable experience for all golfers thanks to top-notch service,” said Troy Anderson, director of sales and marketing.

The layout, which features views of the Las Vegas Strip on many holes as well as panoramic shots of the Spring Mountains, exhibits hallmarks that have made Schmidt and Curley such hot commodities in the modern golf architecture marketplace. There is a fun mix of holes that move gently in different directions, with strategic bunkering and water hazards creating a suitable amount of challenge for players of all skill levels.

The coolest hole is the par-4 ninth, a scenic, straightaway test guarded by water all the way down the left side.

Siena Bistro in the clubhouse features some of the most delectable fare of any golf course in Las Vegas. Fittingly, many of the dishes are Italian — savor the atmosphere and order a dish such as shrimp and avocado Bruschetta.

Book online for the best tee time rates and enjoy more value with a two-day package to play Siena — and its sister course, the Arroyo Golf Club — within a five-day period and save 20 percent.
