The incredible scenery at The Arroyo Golf Club will almost make you forget you’re in Las Vegas.

The Red Rock Mountains offer a stunning backdrop for a round at The Arroyo Golf Club.

Las Vegas isn’t just about partying, gambling, and doing who-knows-what-else on the Strip. Believe it or not, Sin City features some breathtaking natural scenery, and it’s always nice to stop and admire sights like the Red Rock Mountains after your eyes have absorbed all those neon lights.

Playing at The Arroyo Golf Club is a unique way to take in the mountain scenery, not to mention enjoying the only Arnold Palmer Signature design in Las Vegas.

Like other Palmer layouts, this track doesn’t overwhelm golfers, but instead mixes in a decent number of birdie holes with an array of fair challenges. Six of the layout’s 10 par 4s play over 400 yards, but length actually isn’t much of an issue — well-struck drives can roll out and generally never leave much more than a short- or mid-iron approach.

Not only is the course aesthetically pleasing with grandiose bunkers and lush fairways, the up-close views of the Red Rock Mountains are incredible — the size of the mountains is trumped only by the unique bits of red dotting their exterior.

Plenty of holes, particularly on the back nine, have backdrops dominated by the mountains. But the hole with the most memorable scenery might be the par-3 seventh, a downhill test that can play over 200 yards and is decorated by a panoramic view of the Las Vegas Strip skyline.

The Arroyo Golf Club prides itself on attentive and impeccable service, a trait also evident at Arroyo’s sister course, Siena Golf Club. Arroyo is closed September 7-10 for overseeding.
