Rooms with a View

New La Quinta homes feature spectacular sights of the mountains and golf course.

By Marcelo AraujoPublished: March, 2005

Set in the heart of La Quinta, the gated community at Mountain View Country Club offers picturesque views golf the course and surrounding mountain ranges.

Golf community developer Toll Brothers has designed 406 houses and 50 condominiums with the popular Spanish Colonial theme that can be seen throughout the city.

In all, there are seven different luxurious models that can be found in the 365-acre community. The Belize, Camina and Sedona models start at $724,975, while the more spacious models — The Miramonte, Santa Rosa, Piedra and Ventana — start at $1,203,975.

Each home ranges from 2,350 square feet to 4,400 square feet and offers at least two bedooms, two bathrooms and two garages. Each home also includes courtyard entries, marble-appointed master baths, grand entry foyers, gourmet kitchens, and spacious patio areas with pool and spa packages available.

As for the golf course, Mountain View Country Club suits players of all skill levels. The par-72 course, designed by Arnold Palmer, has five tee boxes ranging from 5,340 to 7386 yards. The scenery is stunning, with arroyos, ponds, streams and waterfalls visible on many holes.

Whether golf is your passion or your family desires resort surroundings, Mountain View Country Club offers the best of both worlds. The club’s spa and fitness center is a 7,000-square-foot facility that offers aerobic, Pilates and yoga classes, as well as massages, steam rooms and muscle activation therapy. The center also has a salon that offers skin-care treatments ranging from facials and body wraps to hair care and manicures.

Dave Grindstaff and his staff oversee the fitness center and can provide members with one-on-one assistance to create a fitness program around ones specific needs.

Currently under construction is the 24,670-square-foot clubhouse that will offer such amenities as an upscale restaurant and bar. Members can choose to wine and dine inside or on the outside patio that overlooks the waterfalls and streams that run around the 18th green. Other additions to the clubhouse include men’s and women’s locker rooms, pro-shop and entertainment rooms.

General manager Todd Connelly, who has worked at notable clubs such as Riviera, Pumpkin Ridge and PGA West, is thrilled about what Mountain View Country Club has to offer.

“I am proud to be a part of the growth at Mountain View.” Connelly said. “Arnold Palmer and Toll Brothers always go above and beyond in bringing great golf and homes for the owners and members.”   n
